Got Questions?
Reservations are required for all animals whether for daycare, boarding or grooming. Animals without reservations may not be accommodated.
We suggest making your reservation as soon as you possibly can! We become fully booked weeks to months prior major holidays and the summer is also very busy for us. We do maintain a waiting list, but it often exceeds the reservations we are able to accommodate, so we suggest looking for alternate plans for your pet if you are placed on the waiting list.
All pets must be registered at Pawlins and this can be done on our website under the reservations tab or you may call and speak to a concierge who will be happy to assist you. We also must have your pet’s vaccination records a negative fecal test performed within the last 6 months. All vaccinations must be administered by a veterinarian. You must also sign our service agreement. A 30% deposit is also required for all boarding reservations and you must have a credit card on file for any grooming reservations. Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us!

- Intestinal Parasite Screen – Every 6 months
All pets are required to be on flea prevention. If signs of fleas are observed, flea treatment will be applied at an additional cost.

- It is preferred for the pet parent to provide their pet’s food to Pawlins, for your pet’s health. If your pet is staying less than 7 nights, please pre-package their food into meal-sized portions in ziplock bags. Do not include your pet’s medications in their food bags! For stays longer than a week, we can accommodate larger bags of food in an airtight container. Please let us know if any food needs to be refrigerated. In the event that you forget to pack your pet’s food or they run out, we will provide our house food at the cost of $3 per meal per pet.
- No need to bring your pet’s bowls – we provide stainless steel bowls as well as slow feeder bowls.
- Please bring your pet’s medications in their prescription packaging, properly labeled with the pharmacy sticker displaying the pet’s name, guardian name, prescribing veterinarian name, medication name and dosage instructions.
- We provide bedding, but feel free to bring your pet’s bedding and special toys from home if they would feel more comfortable with them! Please do not bring any oversized bedding as we will be unable to wash it should it become soiled.
- Please label all of your pet’s belongings with their first name and last initial. Pawlins is not responsible for any lost belongings, so please do not bring anything that is valuable (either monetarily or emotionally). We do log everything you bring into our software, but we have learned that sometimes it’s like socks in the dryer, they can just disappear. Also, only bring items that can be left with your pet while they are unsupervised. We will remove any items that are deemed a hazard to your pup. A fee of no less than $15 will be charged if we are required to travel offsite to purchase food for your dog.
If you pet gets sick or there is any medical emergency, they will be taken to River Road Veterinary Hospital (504-838-0288), our partner under our same roof, for the most immediate response possible, and you will be contacted.
